This week we explore bathroom tech. This market which exceeds 3.5 billion according to Google continues to grow every year. Here are some gadgets you didn’t know you needed.
1) Chroma-therapy Shower
You have heard of aromatherapy, well, this is the next level using color for therapy. According to the manufacture this device will energize your shower and rejuvenate your skin. It uses a LED light that changes color or can be set to a preferred solid color. You can find these starting at $40-50 or can go for the high end at over $500.
2) Towel Warming Drawer
This device which is about the size of a small refrigerator will offer you a warm towel when you step out of the shower. For around $100 you can have the knowledge you will never have a cold towel again.
3) Smart Scale
Part of any exercise routine is being aware of your weight. That old scale from grandma just won’t cut it anymore. These new smart scales will track not only your weight but your body mass index, body fat, and other metrics. Some will even sync with your smartphone to keep a log of your progress or the lack of. These start at about $30 but make sure you get one that is compatible with your smart electronics.
4) Sensor mirror with video display
This mirror can replace your old fashioned mirror by offering more than just your reflection. For an investment of around $8000 you can watch video, pictures, and in some cases even talk to your friends. Also included are smart speakers for music and a light system that can simulate natural sunlight.
5) Automatic Toothpaste Squeezer
If you are tired of having the toothpaste tube squeezed from the middle, then this is for you. This device offers a hands free way of putting toothpaste on your brush in pre measured amounts. The device comes cheap at about $7 but you will want to get a good looking toothpaste tube since you can see it on the top of the device.
6) Toilet Tech
For around $7000 you can get a smart toilet. These devices do offer a lot of features including things like automatic flush, bluetooth speakers, automatic bowl cleaners, and a heated seat. They do take a bit to install because you will need an electrician to bring an outlet safely near the toilet. In addition, you may need your plumbing updated and all these things can increase the budget a lot.
