Hi, this is Bill Sikkens

2

:

host of User Friendly 2.0 here on

The Answer with this week's Tech Wednesday

3

:

is AI moves forward and increasingly

becomes more and more capable.

4

:

We're seeing a really large increase,

to put it mildly,

5

:

in AI voice scams,

and this is getting really scary.

6

:

This has been something

that's been around for a while,

7

:

in the sense that you can recreate

somebody else's voice,

8

:

potentially creating things like deepfakes

and whatnot.

9

:

And this has been an issue

that has already been a problem,

10

:

but now it's being taken

to the next level,

11

:

where your voice can be used

to authenticate things over

12

:

things like recognition

on a phone for a credit card

13

:

or financial accounts or medical records

or whatever those things are

14

:

that to this day

require authentication to keep it secure.

15

:

This week on user Friendly 2.0,

we're going to deep dive into this

16

:

talk about what you can do

to secure your assets

17

:

and what we see in the future to help

stop this happening.
