to take a little time and look back at

where things have come from.

This week on User Friendly 2.0,

we're going to be talking the history

of processors, the history of memory

and some other things that we take for

granted these days.

It's interesting

to see where all this started

and when it did, it was much more

a human labor process.

We're going to be talking

about the origin of memories

and how people were employed,

actually make this technology by hand

for many years.

Processors are another thing

that started out in the early 70s,

and at that time, it was just assumed

you would make up your own electronics

for every circuit.

And the idea of a microcontroller

like we have in everything this day was

not something that was readily available

or even conceived of.

The history of

that is also very interesting.
