User friendly

4

:

goes over a lot of new technology

and we're proud to bring that to you.

5

:

But we want to visit another area

and that is with gaming.

6

:

Now gaming is a big deal.

7

:

We've talked about video games and all of

that very many times on the show before,

8

:

but there's a lot of other

aspects of this, including role playing,

9

:

tabletop gaming,

and all of these different type of things

10

:

to where technology is advancing

and making better buy opinions of some.

11

:

You can still sit at the table

12

:

with a role playing game,

but you can have your tablet

13

:

and do things like manage your character

sheets and stuff through an app.

14

:

If that's what you choose to do.

It's still playable.

15

:

If you want to use pen and paper,

which a lot do.

16

:

There's even things like electronic dice

on Bluetooth, so when you roll your dice,

17

:

it can pick up

what the roll is automatically

18

:

and enter it into the digital system.

19

:

This week on User Friendly, we're going

to talk about the origins of roleplaying

20

:

Dungeons and Dragons and the others,

and where technology is taking it.
